High from donating blood

"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
- Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
"I think 'Hail to the Chief' has a nice ring to it."
- John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) when asked what is his favorite song
"Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe."
- H. G. Wells (1866-1946)

Tuesday left and Wednesday sped by, today was interesting and now I wait for Friday to arrive.

Went for training on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Helped Hakim with his pattern.
I messed up my own.
So much for my self-esteem.
Freak!
-hits head against wall-
Training was out of sorts for me, I guess I have a vague idea as to why I was feeling that way… oh well… nothing remains the same forever right?

Down to Kovan to continue training.
Much better and more productive.
Helped Jabba with his pattern.
Hit my head against the wall again please?
-does just that-

I bang my head and I stress myself out.
I want my friends to do well, but the problem is mostly with me.
How to remove that plank from my eye? *sigh*

Today:
CF lecture got switched to another lecture theatre.
The tables went a long way to helping me focus during the lecture man~
Had lunch with Yang Theng, Yvonne, Karen and Jason before heading up to the 4th floor to donate blood.
Took the better part of an entire hour to get the paperwork done.
Took less than 5 minutes to fill the bag with my blood.
Ironic aye?
-rolls eyes-
But it was an eye opener lah~
There was a girl who was donating blood for the first time, and she was crying like crazy, tissues and all – even before she saw the nurse and the needles… -.-lll
You can imagine the amount of wailing and tears that came when the nurse did turn up to take her blood pressure and check her veins… x.xlll
And through out it all, I was trying to maintain my composure. Kept telling myself that it was not very nice to laugh, but I ended up getting internal injuries and laughing anyway… gah… I was not the only one though… the nurses and other blood donors were also biting their lips and trying not to let their laughter out… failing miserably in a few cases…
-hysterical laughter-

I was literally high from the blood donating.
Very tired and yet floating at the same time.
Finished with my Milo, I went down to the library to give YT a hand with her economics.
Went home around 5pm.
Went out again around 6.30pm.
Got back into the house around 10.15pm.
And so here I am typing, chatting away whilst feeding mosquitoes… -.-lll

Heh… I am counting on a good sleep tonight… hehe
-hugs-

3 venues in 1 day

"Whenever I climb I am followed by a dog called 'Ego'."
- Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
"Everybody pities the weak; jealousy you have to earn."
- Arnold Schwarzenegger (1947-)
"We have art to save ourselves from the truth."
- Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)

fwah~!
What a Sunday~

Morning wake up and slowly make my way to McD as per normal…
I guess it’s the S.O.P. now for every official TKD gathering that takes place on Sundays.
Breakfast is always at McD.
I am beginning to think that they should start sponsoring us the food.
Or at least reward us with some token of appreciation for giving them so much business…
-hysterical laughter-
Alfred, Bernard, Hui Fen, Lucien, Chi Foong, Chong Yun and Eileen… ah… not in that order for arrival, but we made it there anyway. ;p

Grading was less stressful than usual, God only knows why… hmmm…
All the people who were supposed to turn up made it on time, as for the those who did not… they were not around to see their money go ‘bye-bye’.
Who ask them not to turn up?
Had to contend with some problems, which cropped up during the event.
Shocker of the day was a boy getting injured.
Scared me pretty bad.

Attended the SIM TKD meeting for a while before having to rush home and making my way out of the house again.
Why?
Coz for the 2nd time in my life, I was watching a movie after a TKD event.
Hahaha…
Watched John Tucker Must Die with Bernard, Huifen and her JK.
What can I say?
It’s a teen-flick.
But it does have a bit of a serious side to it.
Heh~
Plaza Singapura was uncommonly not crowded.
Rather weird to be walking around and not see the throngs of people milling about.

Met up with Adeline at P.S. before heading down to Sheena’s place for her birthday party.
YES!
Sheena is finally legal to vote and watch R(21) movies~
Hehehe…
I’m glad you like the presents girl :)

I was so wasted when I got home… but I still managed to rubbish my way onto the Internet and chat with a few people before really knocking out…

Monday morning’s ESAP lecture:
WOW…
What a rush…
All that talk about research methods really got my pulse going…
-rolls eyes-

I can’t wait for the good stuff to start man… shesh… I don think I can take any more of the researching things… argh… I had enough of that in my first year while we were taking Introduction to Sociology… not that I hated it last time… and not that I hate it now... its just that my mind can only take so much of that kind of information…
Catch my drift?

Then again, I suppose only those who have had to go through the Soci module would understand what I am trying to get at… but what the hack!
ESAP is FUN~! :)
-throws paper airplanes all over the place-

MSM in the afternoon was erm… well, it was just that… ‘erm…’
I had a hard time getting through it coz there was no training yesterday.
You see, I usually have the training session to give me motivation for getting through the day.
On Mondays, I tell myself:
Don worry, training later, going to have fun… work now, play later… can survive the day!
On Tuesdays:
Finished half the lectures lo!
Can go home and sleep… you can do it!
On Thursdays:
Final lecture!
JIA YOU~!

Oh well… I made it through my 3 lectures for the week… I am left with corporate finance… heeho… and there is training tomorrow~!
HOOOOO~~~~
Cannot stand it when I don have training… feel very bu zi zai… *sigh*
-psychotic laughter-

I survived the MM lecture today and went to PS to meet TKM and YKM for lunch…
Poor E.T. not well so could not make it to school… aiyo…

How you feeling now E.T.?
Hope you had enough rest…
You got see the doc?

Gah… the ESAP quiz is scheduled to be on next Monday, instead of the yesterday… all along I thought it was going to be yesterday…
At least I have time to study for it… then again, it remains to be seen whether I will really pound my books for the quiz.
I might resort to burning the notes and inhaling the fumes, so the information goes straight to my brain… then again, I might die from the process… hahha… would I be willing to take the risk for the quiz?
-ponders over the possible outcomes-
Make time I shall have to… heh~

Aight… I wan to sleep… I owe the sleep bank… hahah

Let’s see what the rest of the week has in store for me aye?

Cheers~!

O-Jang

"But at my back I always hear Time's winged chariot hurrying near."
- Andrew Marvell (1621-1678)
"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws."
- Plato (427-347 B.C.)
"The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it."
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

Wednesday’s training was erm… well, on one hand it was depressing coz I forgot my O-jang, on the other hand, it was a bit of a relief that I am not going for black grading yet.
Heh~
Here’s what happened:
Toward the end of class, we all had to go up and do our taegueks for our upcoming gradings, which by the way is tomorrow and 7th Oct. :)
Soooo… the various belts went up in batches to do their taegueks ala grading style, minus their basic kicks.
When it came to Brown 1.
x.xlll
-shakes head at the images-

Sean, Hakim and I stood in the middle of the Plaza area and did all the 8 patterns meant for the black belt grading.
I messed up my blue pattern. Shesh… my O-jang… *faints*
I guess it could chalk it up to anxiety or plain forgetfulness, but I know this, my hands were shaking like crazy at the end of everything… aiyo… how to go for Black belt grading like this?!
-runs mad around the house-
Anyway, it is comforting to know that even though I messed up… I am only grading in Jan… hahahaha… phew… still got time to make the taegueks nice nice and train my sparring… don wan to waste my money xia…

Went over to Kovan to continue training and teaching… den had dinner with Yue Ling, Bernard and Sir.
Walked home and caught the last portion of the new season of Project Runway.
Knocked out at a time I can not remember at the moment…
-hysterical laughter-

Thursday, went to school for corporate finance.
Made a new friend.
Blardy cool dude xia… his tattoo… wow… the way I learnt about it even more hwah… hahaha…
Survived lecture that day, did not fall asleep :)
Signed up for blood donation, to be done next Thursday.
Went home with E.T. and bought my Special Horfun… which I have no eaten in ages… hehehe… worth the cash lah~
Did not have to work that evening…
Watched the pilot episode of Prison Break.
Hoooooooo~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s a smart and cool show… and I am not referring in any way to the tattoo…
-migumi laughter-

Friday went for my teaching assignment.
Cramped out my feet.
They are still painful… oh well… have to rest more I guess…. *sigh*
The students tested my patience but I survived.
Thank God.
Made it home in time for dinner…

Today’s work was not bad… breezed pass and I hurried home for lunch and my cartoons… heehee…
Don give me that look, I still watch cartoons ok?!
They make me feel young… hahaha…
-does dance of joy-
So here I am in front of the computer… typing away… waiting for bedtime to come… yes I should be studying… why am I now… please don make me answer that… thank you very much…
-psychotic laughter-

ah… tomorrow is going to be exciting… can’t wait…
Cheers~!

I.M.F. circles + owe the sleep bank = x.xlll

"Problems worthy of attack prove their worth by fighting back."
- Paul Erdos (1913-1996)
"Dancing is silent poetry."
- Simonides (556-468bc)
"If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your closet, you'd best teach it to dance."
- George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

Sunday’s services were wonderful to say the least.
My kids were very encouraging when it came to my lesson time, there are just some things that money can’t buy no?
Service itself in the main auditorium was good. God spoke and I was comforted.
Thank You God :)
Went for lunch with Winnie, Andrew and Jeff. Ate at that prawn noodle store which I used to patronize a lot.
I stopped buying from that store because of the lousy service.
So much for the 4 million smiles campaign. -.-lll
Rushed home right after lunch.
Bumped into Gwendolyn at the Basket Ball Association and took the bus home with her. Made a new friend along the way. :)
Got home and finished my homework initially wanted to go to the CC to get the work done… but I ended up sacrificing my nap to get the Management Mathematics done.
Went to training half asleep, but woke up because I had to.
If I din, how to teach?
-hysterical laughter-
Joined Sianli at Pizza Hut to dine and helped her with getting a pair of jeans. :) Hang Ten not bad aye?
69 – 56 – 33 – 20… fwah~!

Monday lecture… aiyo… I fell asleep or rather; nodded off during the ESAP lecture… goodness gracious… same thing happened during the MSN lecture… ARGH~!
Training was tough coz I was really hungry.
I did not eat since lunchtime. The break time food always runs out before I can get to the line.
What’s more, I went to Whampoa and the sensation got worse.
No choice lor, had to buy some small stuff to eat… felt tons better after that man~
Went for dinner with Sir and Bernard after that.
Had no idea the food at the makeshift market was so nice… hehe… my first time there anyway… hahaha~
Slept late.

Tuesday morning dark and early dragged my body out of bed and into the shower to wake it up.
Went to school with ET.
Managed to stay awake during MM lecture.
It was more stimulating than MSM lecture the day before.
Finished lecture and headed to City Hall with ET to shop for stuff and then to Suntec and Marina Square for lunch plus more shopping.
We saw the flowers of the IMF areas.
Walked in circles under the hot sun and spent a bomb on cosmetics plus clothes.
Well, Esther spent more than I did.
I just helped carry the stuff… hahaha
Retail therapy?
Erm… the walking in circles kinda killed off the effects of buying the items.
So I think we have to do it again next week to make up for it?
-psychotic laughter-
WAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA~~~~

Home at 6pm, had to literally pull myself around the house to get my chores done. Have no idea how I made it to cell group man~
Cell was good, we were all blessed.
Supper at the 24 hour Prata shop.
Paper Prata with Chocolate… yummy babeh~
Slumped into bed around 1.30am.
Dreamless and fitful, but not enough to pay back the sleep bank.
I still owe, which is why I am going back to my bed in less than 20 minutes. :D

Oh, the new exco for SIM TKD is headed by Alfian, Assisted by Yang Theng, Sin Wee, Daphne, Jason, Yvonne and Wen kai.
Congrats and All the best guys~!
I’ll be behind you all the way! :)
SIM TKD HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Aight… sleep calls… I’d be a fool not to heed…

2 patrols in 1 week

"The use of COBOL cripples the mind; its teaching should, therefore, be regarded as a criminal offense."
- Edsgar Dijkstra
"C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do, it blows away your whole leg."
- Bjarne Stroustrup
"A mathematician is a device for turning coffee into theorems."
- Paul Erdos (1913-1996)

Wow!
First week of school!
Blardy hectic xia… I run from one place to another until almost got no time to breathe… no time to sleep also… I owe the sleep bank plenty of hours.
You can imagine how bad my eye bags are now. =.=lll
The whole week took a toll on my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states.

Monday’s lectures started out good but progressed to sad coz I was zonked by lunch and the morning lecture. Good thing the lecturers are good, if not, sure sleep and then like that – JIAT LUT XIA~
Training wasn’t productive coz I was not feeling well and I had to rush home coz Tuesday morning had a lecture waiting for me.
Went to school with Esther that morning and then hung out with her after that… lunch at AMK wasn’t all that bad… had cell group supper that night with the girls at the 24 hour prata shop. Went home a bit zonked.

Woke up bright and not that early on Wednesday.
Headed down to Waterways for boat patrol.
Went down the Singapore River and had lunch at the Chinese restaurant.
Picked up a HUGE tire on the way. Shesh… the things in our rivers and to think we’re going to be drinking from those places next time…
-headache-
Anyway, patrol was fun and I managed to get to training in time.
Training was … well… training… hahahah~
Went home late due to dinner … *yum-yum*

Thursday morning wake up and like a zombie make for the bus stop with plenty of things in hand. Notes, gi , study guide and what not.
Lecture was ok, but the sad thing was that I nodded off… shesh….
Had club recruitment drive for the days of Thursday and Friday. So in effect, I went to school everyday of the entire week. X.xlll
There was a tkd demo during international student day and I was picked to go on stage on the day before that during a games time thing with the Perfect 10 fellas.
Mutton and more mutton?
Vernon and Justin.
Fun game. Hahaha… me and YT walked away with goodie bags worth 100 bucks each… no bad aye?
I am pleased to say that recruitment was good, so now it is time for the turnover effect to take place.

Friday evening was spent patrolling with the WWS crew along the Singapore River… but this time on bikes. :)
Got caught in the rain though… than again, all that laughter and merry making made up for all the heartache and problems through out the week.
We had dinner at Breko, coz YL had to get rid off all the vouchers from the last time. Had 32 in hand but we were only allowed to use 15 as max with ‘flexibility’ from the management.
XJ, YL, Jimmy, Shoon, Eugene and I ate quite a bit.
Heehee… drank too… and now I remember why I don’t like drinking beer… x.xlll
But we had fun no?
Hahaha… Yes, Eugene will not be letting me drink again anytime soon.
-hysterical laughter-
Was laughing in the car all the way to YL’s place lor~
And then up the bus with Shoon and almost all the way home… yes, I am kidding, but only to a certain extent ;p

This morning went to work and fell asleep on the bus while on the way home. Hahaha… wanted to sleep, but ended up using the computer plus getting my notes ready for next week.
Which leaves me to have to do my assignments before lectures start… if not confirm tio whack~
Must chiong all the way this year man… no holding punches or what not.
ALL OR NOTHING!
-Hard Gay hoot-

I guess I’ll stop here and get back to listening to my new Jay album: Still fantasy.
I like~

Chaos for now!
^-^

P.S. Handover took place on Wednesday right after training. Write more about it the next time~

-moment of silence please-

"The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

"Don't stay in bed, unless you can make money in bed."
- George Burns (1896-1996)
"I don't know why we are here, but I'm pretty sure that it is not in order to enjoy ourselves."
- Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951)

-wondering how to start this post-

When you were young…
Did you ever get bullied in school?
Or have some fight with your friend?
Or fell down and cut yourself?
Got a scolding from your teacher?
Got chased by a dog?
Got lost while in a shopping center?

[Basically had something bad happen to you while you were outside…]

Where was the one place you could not wait to be?

Now what if that place also had its own set of problems?
And those problems happen to be as disheartening as those problems you had outside?

How would you feel?

What happened to my safe heaven?

Someone please tell me…
I donno what’s going on at all… it’s the sickening helpless sensation all over again…

Unbelievable!
I got bored of using the computer today!~
O.O
Freaky… very freaky indeed…

Wednesday training was ok… made a new friend :)
Did pattern, overdid my knee, punched out my shoulder.
Have to paste Tiger Balm plasters on my shoulder to get it less painful… gah…
Had dinner at McD before heading home.

Thursday slacked my day away… headed to work but went to the library to book drop first… today… slacked the day away again… sleep is good… hahah… nightmares are not good… the shoulder kinda took the fun away from sleeping though x.xlll

And so my holiday aka Chang Jia is coming to an end.

Classes start next week.
Monday, to be precise.
First lecture will be ESAP, followed by MSM. That is, if my off-hand memory serves me correctly… -.-lll
Got to plan my stuff for the week nice nice… coz the next day I have lessons in the morning and it ain’t gonna be fun if I am half asleep during the lecture… gah…
To tell the truth, I am rather excited about going back for lectures coz this term I get the chance to study things that I want to study… at least ¾ of the modules I am taking anyway… final year liao… my gwad… time flies… I don wan to grow old ah~~~~~

There was a point of time where I was going crazy over the Hard Gay :)
Now!
I have moved on to… MR BROWN!!!!
WoOHOO~~!!!
Hahaha… yes… I am slow… but oh well… I never said anything about being a quick study when it comes to Internet stuff…
Now all I need to do is get the pod casts onto my phone. They really brighten my day :D
I also happen to like the opening music a lot… my favorite pod cast at the moment is: X-NS Men!
If you happen to get your hands on it… you will understand what I mean…
Listen out for the Hokkien Beng!
His super powers are really to be marveled at.
As for the Medic and his mutant genes… erm… I shall leave it to Swee Shoon to demonstrate one day…
-hysterical laughter-
Maybe he will call down a Super Puma?
-more hysterical laughter-

Heeho~

Sunday:
BCM Teachers’ Day celebration~! :D
As part of the festivities, all the BCM teachers got the day off… hahaha~
For once I had the chance to wake up late on a Sunday… den again, its not as if I woke up at 10am… I had to haul my bum out the door around 9.45am anyway… -.-lll
Made my way to church and service was good.

From there, Winnie and I burned the road to Paya Lebar Air Base for the RSAF Open House.
Swee Shoon got there earlier than us.
Alfred and Lucien got there later than us.
We all had fun in and out of the sun. :D

The crowd was scary… one would have thought that most of the people would be at the ComEx, but nooo… plenty of people made it to the Open House…
-faints-
I got burned by the sun.
Rather bad, but thank God for aloe Vera cream… hehe… got rid of the heat thing real good… but anyway…
Took pictures of the aeroplanes and helicopters.
Walked from one end to the other and back again, it’s a pity that neither of us had the chance to go on the free air ride… so much for all that publicity~ x.xlll
-hysterical laughter-
We did get to go for the FSC. Not family service center, but the Flight Simulation Center… Flight Simulation not stimulation mind you…
-psychotic laughter-
It was interesting to say the least; hurrahs~ I did not crash the plane… hehehaa!

We thought we could be in time for training but then, the crowd stopped us… only managed to get back around 7.30pm… bleahs…

Monday, met up with Yilinn at Plaza Singapura to buy presents.
Den made my way down to school… hehe… I am knowing now that there be a bus from school to the PS area… woohoo~
Easier it be to get to town now… heehoo~~
Went to school for training den off the Holland V for dinner with the gang.
I still think it was crazy to go all the way to Holland V to eat BK but I guess hanging with the lot is more important, since school is going to start next week, I don think I will have the chance to go out for dinner with them anymore… *sigh*
Reached home at close to midnight. But managed to watch the final moments of Grey’s Anatomy.

Tuesday morning made for Yilinn’s home to wait for Eugene and then to the airport to send Diana off.
Diana go back to England to work and this time her daddy went with her.
Hope you like the piggy Diana :)

Got home, knocked out for 4 hours.
Yes, I kid you not.
4 hours.
Felt good. :D
Went for cell group and supper after that with the girls… walked home… slept till 10.20 this morning…

Now be the time for the clearing of books…
Here I go…
Hehe~

- e e cummings (1894-1962)

Today was a semi-rush day.
Hehe…

Morning spent in AMK den took the bus straight to marine parade for the BCM Teachers’ Day celebration.
I did not get to have a proper breakfast, but I did get some food into my system, which had to last me till 4pm, coz that was the time we were allowed to get at the food during the ‘lunch’.

Laughed a lot during the games… thanks to Donovan and Liang Sheng.
That Donovan is a natural man… and his hokkien is wah… mah chum I almost expected him to start swearing and I would not be surprised…
-hysterical laughter-

The guys went to Comex at the Expo right after the celebrations ended and I headed for the shopping center to meet TKM.
Bought a new blouse! :)
It’s the same colour as one of my polo T’s but this one’s a round neck… and it was at a good price… I’d be a bit too sane not to buy it right?
-psychotic laughter-

The guys who went to the Comex managed to buy me a MMC card (1G) for S$33.
-Hard Gay shout-
Thanks guys!
Means I am going to have a new attachment for my phone tomorrow… provided Liang Sheng remembers to bring it to church -.-lll
Hahaha~

Still planning for the week ahead and tomorrow (especially).
So exciting!
-does dance of joy-
Have to make the most what time I have left, school’s starting in less than two weeks…
-cries-
PEOPLE PARTY PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!!
-Hard Gay screaming again-
HOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~

Poetry : The ever-changing reality

Dreams and daylight
Seeing beyond gravity.
We grasp at what our eyes see
Neglecting what we feel.
All at once my stability disappears.

With simple words
And innocent actions
You touch my world.
You change my perspective.
You make me want to be a better person.
You affect me.

I was a fool.
To think I could live without You.
Floundering, almost drowning, amidst dark depths of loneliness.
No more do I swim that far
But in order to succeed
Give your all.
Take nothing back.
Leave nothing for yourself.

It is the mists we cling to
We cannot see beyond our noses
It’s all us.
What happens when the fog clears?

More than 20km in one day

I realize that I missed my blog anniversary without knowing it… guess I was too busy with my holiday. After all, it is the unofficial (albeit) not very welcomed mantra that my holiday be more packed that normal school days… so as with every anniversary:
Thank you to JY for starting me on this journey! :)

Pesta Sukan was completed over last weekend.
On Saturday, I went straight from AMK by bus to find that I was in time for the beginning of the bouts… hehe… sat with Chong Yun and company for the entire day… Even Chong Yi came along, so that was a treat, coz we don usually get to see her very often… Alfred also made the trip down with the crew.
At the end of that long day, we went to McD for dinner, sans Alfred and the girls coz they had to go home early.
Sunday was the rush rush like crazy day.
Made the dash down from GEC after church and my lesson to the sports complex in a cab… 11 bucks go bye bye… *sob*
Rest of the day was so fun!
Spent most of the time cheering on the participants who I know. Trying to keep track of whose bout was on and where they were going to be taking place.
Shoon managed to make it down right after the eco-challenge, which was great, coz he brought in another perspective and since I haven seen him in a while it was an added bonus. :D
The SIM TKD cheer-team was a whole lot bigger than it was during IVP.
There’s a very warm sensation to seeing more people joining the club and supporting one another by turning up.
We had dinner at the local kopi-tiam before heading for home…

Kovan’s Medal Tally: 3 Golds, 6 Bronzes.
SIM’s Medal Tally: 1 Bronze.
Congrats to all who took part! :)
You did great guys!

Monday, relaxed at home before heading down to SIM for training… fumbled through one of my patterns. O.Olll
Unbelievable!
I do not usually fumble!
NOT AT ALL!
I really wonder why I ended up fumbling, so I suppose it is a good thing that I am not taking part in the upcoming black belt grading.
Yes, I have decided to give my legs another 3 months to heal before heading to TPY to prove I am worthy to wear that elusive black gi.
We trained and I went with Mr. Chow to Whampoa.
Ended up helping with the class and waiting for Shoon at the same time.
We had dinner at the local kopi tiam.
Hor fun was the meal of the evening, together with omelets. *yum-yum*
We were supposed to eat at Carl’s Junior but ended up having cheaper food… hehe… less damage on the purse ;p

Tuesday morning, woke up bright and early to get haul my bum to China Town to meet Diana and from there, make our way to Maxwell market for breakfast with Eugene, Bernatt and Herbert.
The prawn noodle store, which I bought my food from, has my stamp of approval. :) The uncle is very polite and the food was good. Excellent combination. Not like some other place near my church… I condemn that place liao… but that’s another story for another time…
From there, we went to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
We watched the tide come in. Took pictures and observed nature.
We walked about 1/3 of the reserve before heading for lunch at the geylang area. Curry rice sets… nice~
Next, we hopped into the car and zoomed to MacRitchie to go see what the HSBC treetop walk had to offer.
What it did give us was a 10km walk (over rough terrain), lousy service at SICC, and then less then 500m of walking amongst the trees.
Oh! Did I mention that I have a phobia of heights?
It took quite a bit for me not to start screaming my head off in front of the others. The fact that the bridge was very bouncy did not do ANYTHING to make me feel better about being more than God-knows how many meters up.
AND THEN, once the dreaded walk was over… we had to walk another 7km to Lornie road where we took a cab back to where the car was parked. By this time, Diana and I were out of water and we walk all kinda half dead from all that walking. Needless to say, my knees were killing me. I was not alone, Eugene also has knee problems… but he’s older so does that count?
-grows deep in thought-
While walking out, Shoon gave me a ring to ask about our progress with the nature walks… surprise, surprise! We were still walking, and walking pass the SICC golf course some more… shesh~
I have a very good reason to write in and blast them for the way they treated us.
SO!
In total, we walked around 20+km and then some.
The toll it took on my body was immense:
A HUGE blister (almost the size of a grape)
Painful knees
Aching arms (not sure from what activity)
Sunburn
Major headache.

What trumps it all was that it was FUN.
That’s the most important thing aye? :)

BUT WAIT!
The day did not end with the walking out of MacRitchie.
Diana some how misplaced her wallet in the taxi we took, and she realized that when we were in the car on the way back to the MRT station.
The hand-phones got whipped out and frantic calls to the taxi company were made.
Once Eugene dropped us off, we made our way to the police post to make a police report. Thank God, our prayers were answer, coz half way through the report making, a person called to let Diana know that her wallet had been found!
Praise God! :D
So, we trooped down to town, during rush hour no less, and collected her wallet from the kind souls.
To tangs we went to get us some grub.
And FINALLY, we went home.
It was a good day.
God had His hand in it all the way. :)

Wednesday morning, so much for getting a good rest, the school called me in for relief teaching.
High heels + HUGE blister = Agony
To avoid that fate, I had to burst the blister and paste a band-aid on the wound. Thus resulting in my feet being covered with 3 plasters, which came off during the course of my walking around the school. -.-lll
Painful?
More achingly irritating…
The crazy me did not go home for dinner and ended up borrowing books from the library followed by heading to Kovan to help with training - In my suit and high heels no less, were you expecting something else? :p
-psychotic laughter-
I only managed to have my dinner round 10.45pm whilst watching the last episode of Project Runway.
Yay! Chloe won! :)
It started raining that night and all the way through till morning.

Thursday (8am), alarm clock shills and wakes me out of sleep.
Went back to SRJC to visit the teachers. Teachers’ Day celebrations!
Woohoo~
Siya, Sheena, Adeline and Shoon went along too.
We talked to our teachers, spent the most time with Ms G and took photos.
I even got to meet my junior: Calvin. The famous one who thought that daffodils are ducks, among other things… o.olll
Had “Pepper” lunch before heading to Sheena’s house for our mahjong session.
The 3 of us had to teach Adeline how to play the game all over again, coz the last time she played was more than 2 years ago with us!
-hysterical laughter-
I learned how to play the same day she did, the only difference being that she never played again, and I took every opportunity to keep up my game… haha
Wonderful afternoon of shrieking, eating, catching up and basically - being us.
Thanks gals~ we gotta do this again soon! :D

Got home round about 10pm and once my head hit the pillows at midnight, I was out until 10.30am. After lunch, I knocked out again till 3.10pm.
Well deserved rest no?
Spent most of the day on the computer and then went out with YKM to buy lunch followed by a chat with Alfred and Lucien at the park… planning for the weekend…

And ya!
The UOL results came out last night… but I don think I wanna talk about it…

I got two places to be at when the sunrises… so that’s it from me for now…

Cheers everyone!
